I got a new play thing!

Samsung Galaxy SII may not be a new phone but this color in Coral Pink has to be one of the newest female gadget that I'm digging. Major love Joeness for getting me this!

But, to be honest, I'm still prefer to have an iPhone at the moment! I didn't want to get iPhone 4S because judging from the specs I would rather wait for iPhone 5 to be out later this year.

It's always ok to carry 2 phones isn't it?

I know I am rebellious. 

Despite everyone of you tells me long hair is always better for a girl, how short hair girls can't flirt blah blah blah...

I still go on and cut my hair from very long to a semi long shoulder length hair.

It all started that my previously bleached hair gets so damaged that there's nothing I can do to make it smooth and shine anymore...

My hair might look damn shiny and healthy in this picture but unfortunately when my colleague Felix was curling my hair using heated tongs he can't help but to say my hair is very very dry... 

And one day while I was flipping magazines I saw these few hairstyles...

And I really wanna give it a try since... I haven't had hair this short for more than 7 (no, 8!) years!!!

 

After all (I thought), if I perm my ends when it grows long it will look somewhat like this. That's what I assume. 

So I went to this small tiny salon near my home to take the risk and chop off my dry ends.

Bye bye long hair! I promise I'll keep it long again after this! (If my hair is healthy, that is...)

Chop chop crop crop...

Ta-da~!

My hair now looks so much healthier and livelier! 

I post this picture on my facebook this afternoon and within hours, I have received so many likes and positive comments about my new look~!

I'm still thinking of going to perm my ends and color a lighter tone to look more Japanese style. I think I should, shouldn't I?

I actually wanna do an update on my weight loss journey but apparently I can't find the blue top and my A&F shorts that I wore previously. So… Just snap a picture of myself and you be the judge.

In actual fact I know you can't tell if I lose or gain weight based on this picture at all lol!

My wrist is recovered and recovering so I'm trying hard not to use too much force and cause more pain to it. Meanwhile I'm enjoying the joy of experiencing a new environment. Everything is still fresh so I'm hoping I can get used to it soon.

Weight wise, I did lose a total of 6kg previously before Chinese Lunar New Year but unfortunately all the goodies caused me to gain back 3kg from it. Now I'm trying hard to lose them back. Combat here I come! I seriously need to pick up my habit of gymming and kickboxing back again. Not to mention I love boxing so much that I'm secretly hoping Joeness will approve me to have a pair of my own boxing gloves and my own punching bag (but too bad, he approved the former and objected the latter).

I still want to go back to the 168cm (5'6"), 56kg (123 pounds) me. =)

I'm so glad that my wrist is now fully healed. 

Thou now my wrist is really much weaker and I can't really lift heavy stuffs or use too much force on it.

But, I can blog again! *throws confetti in the air* 

There's so much things I wanna update but sadly my card reader is going bonkers and I can't upload those pictures.
=(

 

I shall be back with more updates later. Need to go for a special event in a while and a happy gathering at my friend's place tonight!

Quite a while ago I had a dream that I became a Japanese Taiko
drummer, dressing exactly like how the lady in this picture is and
playing the Taiko.

What's not known to a lot of people is that I love listening to Taiko
drum music. Saved inside my iPod, I listen to them almost every other
day unless a certain period of time I'm hooked onto one song then I'll
loop that one song and listen over and over and over again. (Just like
the song "Invincible" which is on my iPod right now.)

Oh don't be stupid AC, a dream is just a dream.

But, I really want to give it a try despite the fact that my wrist is
still recovering. I wanna go take up taiko lessons and perform as a
drummer. I've always been into Japanese culture and music and drums
are no stranger to me. Now all I need is to wait for my wrist to
recover and I'll go sign up for taiko classes.

Who knows one day I might become just like this girl in the picture;
not just performing but also my build becomes like her? (aka I slim
down? Heehee…)

I don't know. But I know, if I never try, I never know. =)

If you have followed me in my Instagram you probably have seen my bandaged wrist like this:

And nope it's no joke. My bones in my right wrist have shifted and I went to see a chinese sinseh to have it shift back to it's original position. 

It's extremely painful, but I manage to hang in there and did not even scream or make any noise about it.

But for the time being, I probably will have problem blogging since I can only operate a laptop well using my left hand. Email blogging is another option but it wasn't easy for me to type on my iPhone using 1 hand too (and @thexangateam can you hear my pain!?!?!! The Xanga app doesn't work on my iPhone 3GS at all!!! All I see when I try to use the app is a blank white screen and nothing else!)

But don't worry, I'll be back.

 

Because Pain is only temporary, scars are forever...

This has to be one of the longest debate ever for the past decade in my life.

I've always been having long hair all these years since I was around 14-15. 12 years of long hair and never ever cut real short. 

Throughout these years I merely either had them trimmed to shoulder length or like now, way too long to even just call it long. 

What if I really cut it short?

Say, a bob like this?

Will I look weird with a hairdo so short? 

It's really hard to chose especially when I have long hair for so long, I'm really worried what if I look like crap with short hair. Having natural wavy hair (no thanks to my 1% Indian heritage) doesn't help the situation either because I'm afraid my hair will just be flipping all over the place and I will spend hours every morning just to get my hair done.

Unlike short hair, when my long hair is messy all I need to do is to tie or bun them up and it's all neat and nice.

But, I was told that I look way older than my actual age with long hair! Is that the truth? I always thought I look more mature with short hair. LOLs.

I don't think I ever said this, but there's a lot of memories in my life previously that I mentally blocked them and couldn't recall them at all until recently.

 

And one of them was my fetish for SuicideGirls.

 

In case you don't know what exactly is suicide girls, here's what they describe on Wiki...

Don't ask me why, but I really love going there to view photos of those girls with tattoos and piercings.

Not all, I have to admit. Only some. 

It's a kind of appeal to me. To me, the right tattoo on woman can be sexy. My ultimate most favorite? 

Shoko Tendo. I admire her for her courage to live and write about her life story. Not to mention I really love those tattoos on her body. I would never have this courage to ink myself again anymore. 

But of cos, she's not a suicide girl definitely. She's one strong woman that gives me a lot of courage to face the challenges in my life.

My all-time favorite suicide girl for now has to be this pretty Japanese woman Chie.

Nope, no showing of boobs for you guys! Hahaha.

By the way, she's got really nice tattoo and bod.  I'm training myself hard hoping to have a body like hers some day.
And that reminds me that I haven't really update on my weight loss journey. Since it's Chinese New Year now, give me some leeway for weight gain! I'll lose them all for sure.

The problem with last minute shopping rush is that you either buy too little or you spend too much.

 

Last year it was the former. I only manage to get a few dresses, a pair of decent flats and no time to get myself some new undies and bras. As a result, my 2011 was bad. Being bullied at work, being called a sicko, almost being punched by a gay (not to mention he called me 没家教 which means no proper family upbringing and also, he punched my another colleague recently), being pushed to corners in dire state almost every month.

This year, despite constantly reminding myself since last November that I must start my CNY shopping in advance so that I will have everything in place, my workload forbids me to do so and I end up with all the last minute shopping rush again. 

But this year, it was the latter. I end up buying a bit a lot more than I planned to the extend that I have to lug the stuffs home and my arms filled with all the red markings from the carriers.

How I dressed to go shopping. I seldom really dress up when I go out unless I am meeting anyone. I just love to go out with minimal makeup so that I don't have to worry about my makeup transferring onto those clothes I tried.

A roomy bag to put some of my purchases in, but it's proven that it's too small for all the stuffs I bought that day. 

In case you're wondering, yup I bought all these in 1 day.

And also 2 pairs of heels....

And makeup... (I know I shouldn't be buying... Especially when I already have so much!)

And...

Bras and undies! I insist it's a must to wear new undies this year for good luck. Haha!

Since today is the first day of Lunar New Year, I'm gonna show you what I wore today...

Simple red dress with a grey sweater, naisu! It's been years since I wore a red dress for the first day of new year by the way.

Love how subtle the grey makes this striking red looks. Perfect for house visiting and yet not looking like a walking "angbao" (red packet).

I ain't young anymore and I know. I hate to admit that I've aged.

But all I'm asking is to at least look like I'm in my twenties, a straight set of pretty white teeth, forever having loads of $$$ in my wallet and bank, always slim and gorgeous and forever being optimistic about my life.
